Talking about God

John 8:44 in the Christians’ Bible says of Satan, “When he lies he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”  These words are attributed to Jesus Christ; but what are we to make of them?  Is Satan indeed the father of lies?  Or is it not more accurate to point the finger of blame at the One who made Satan, and Satan’s character?  Is it not more correct to state that God is the father of lies?  God, after all, made Satan, and made Satan to be what he is.  God, in His infinite wisdom, in His absolute omniscience that spans all of time altogether, this God made Satan, had foreknowledge of Satan’s inclinations, his character, indeed of all his actions and words.  Long before God created Adam and Eve in His own image, He knew what Satan would do.  In fact, God made Satan to do what Satan did.  So is it not rather God who is the father of lies?  The One who made the liar and instilled in him the capacity to lie cannot be dismissed as a mere interested party.

Satan was “set-up” by God.  Satan was, before he was created, ordained to lead the human race to eternal damnation.  As God foresaw, as God preordained, Satan was created to lead the rebellion in heaven and on Earth.  For what?  For the amusement of God?  Is all of the pain and suffering we endure God’s cosmic joke that He tells Himself to provoke omnipotent laughter?  What other conclusion can we reach?

Do not be distracted by pious theologians tugging at your sleeve and bidding you to look to the cross of Christ for your answer.  For that, too, is an artifice of God.  There is no answer to evil to be found  in the cross.  There is only another person of the Holy Trinity hanging as an omnipotent voyeur – aping the behavior of humankind, mocking us in our weakness as He knew in His wisdom that, unlike us, He would experience death as a temporary state.  No, the cross provides no answers – only more questions as we eternally fail to understand the character of our Creator.

God is capricious.  He showers blessings and curses wherever He wills.  As He breaks our kneecap He calls upon us to say, “Thank-you, Lord, may I please have another?”  Another what?  Another blow to beat us down.  We cannot comprehend a being so utterly alien as God.  His thoughts are not our thoughts, nor are His ways our ways.  God is profoundly unknowable.  So to mortals He appears capricious.  We observe symptoms of God’s pathology – we cannot observe God.

Satan is evil.  God created Satan.  Therefore God created evil.  This syllogism may be our most important insight on God’s character.  With the freedom to create whatsoever He desired, God chose to create evil.  Those who would acquit God of evil protest that Satan became evil only after God had already created him.  This defense won’t do.  God knew before creating Satan exactly what Satan would become.  God created Satan to become evil.  God is responsible for evil.  No excuses or apologies.

God does contain darkness, which He expresses continuously.  Therefore the Holy Scriptures mislead when it is written that in Him there is no darkness at all.  All darkness flows outward from God.  Pious theologians make excuses for God, as though God needed their efforts to defend Himself.  God needs nothing from any mortal.  He is perfectly complete in Himself.  We add nothing to God when we seek to defend him, when we pray to him, when we praise him.  All these are vanity.  We do these things for ourselves, because we are afraid to recognize the truth about God – He alone is the destroyer of souls.  He alone is the destroyer of all humankind.  He has no affection or affinity for us.  In vain do we seek Him.  In vain do we worship Him.  In vain do we search the Scriptures seeking to understand Him.  He will not be known by us.  He will not be understood by us.  Our prayers and praise will not move Him.  The darkness that God has spread over all of creation is but a foretaste of what awaits us all for eternity.

We cannot trust our own intellect to comprehend God.  We cannot trust Holy Scripture, which we must recognize as misleading, and we cannot trust our feelings, which are changeable as the weather.  God does not desire to know us or to be known by us.  No more so than we might seek to know and be known by an amoeba.  The gulf which separates us from our Creator is unbridgeable.  The God on the other shore is forever unknown and unknowable.  But the symptoms of His pathology are only evil all of the time.  No amount of self-delusion can free us from the fact that evil exists in the world, and that evil entered the world through the offices of God.  This is what all sources reveal to us about the nature and character of God.

Demonic Possession Today

Are demons real? Is demonic possession real? The answer to both questions is yes. Don’t take my word for it. Jesus of Nazareth throughout his earthly ministry spoke about demons and demonic possession. Jesus in the power of his divine nature cast out demons from the demon-possessed people that he encountered. He also instructed his disciples to cast out demons whenever they encountered them, as well. As Jesus’ modern day disciples, this responsibility comes down to us, as well. We are to recognize demons and we are to minister to the demon-possessed whom we encounter.

Where are we most likely to encounter demon-possession today? The simple answer is everywhere. But there are some groups who are more likely to be possessed than others. The profession that is most susceptible to demon attacks and possession today is that of law enforcement. Add to law enforcement officers just about anyone who is involved in the criminal justice system and you will have accounted for most modern day cases of demon possession. Police officers, regardless of what they are called, are very often demon-possessed. Several factors account for this. First, they are continually dealing with evil, and in doing so they encounter demons on a daily basis. Second, they most often are proud and arrogant of their power – their uniforms and guns make them feel invulnerable. This pride and arrogance provides an open door for demonic attacks. Third, police officers very rapidly come to believe themselves superior to those they encounter in the course of their jobs. They hold the power of life and death over the citizens they are sworn to protect. This power is corrosive, and soon corrupts the nature of every police officer. The demonic influence on their behavior is welcomed and unrecognized, being experienced as simply doing what it is that the police officer wants to do of their own sinful nature – that is to destroy the lives literally and figuratively of everyone 0ver whom they can exert power whether by deception or design.

Lutherans Divided on Immigration Reform

Lutherans, particularly more conservative Missouri Synod Lutherans, may be surprised to learn that the national church body they are a part of supports illegal immigration.  The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod subscribes to the historic “Lutheran Confessions,” that is, to the Christian Doctrines that were the basis for the Protestant Reformation in the 16th Century.  A core doctrine is that of the “Two Kingdoms”.  The Church recognizes that we live in both a civil realm and a spiritual realm.  In the civil realm, we are obligated to obey the laws of the Nation/State in which we live.  This civil realm is referred to as the kingdom of the left hand.  The spiritual realm, the kingdom of the right hand, has as its primary concern the eternal salvation of all people who hear the Gospel call and respond in faith.  These two realms are both ultimately under the rule of God.  The kingdom of the left hand has the power of the sword, that is, the right and duty to use force to compel obedience to its laws.  The kingdom of the right hand is forbidden from using the sword to compel obedience to the Word of God.

Lutherans teach that everyone is obligated to obey the laws of the Nation/State, insofar as those laws do not require them to disobey God’s Law.  However, the LCMS affiliated Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services agency promotes illegal immigration, encourages Lutherans to lobby for all of the rights and privileges of full citizenship to be given to illegal immigrants, and thus undermines the kingdom of the right hand and the Lutheran Confessions.  LIRS activities also decrease national security by inviting terrorists to illegally enter and live in the USA, and providing terrorists with aid and comfort as they live illegally in the USA.  Any Lutheran or Lutheran church body that supports LIRS is doing so in direct opposition to the historic Lutheran Confessions, and the Biblical standard for living in this world as Christians.

Establishing a Shadow Government

The Federal government has badly failed the American people.  The promises of our Constitution and Declaration of Independence have been trashed by sleazy politicians of both major parties.  Statism is the religion of both Democrats and Republicans, and it is only getting worse day by day.  So isn’t it reasonable for an oppressed citizenry to make plans for what must come after the fall of the current regime?  Should we not be about the task of identifying men and women who will uphold the United States Constitution and share the vision of our Founding Fathers as expressed in the Declaration of Independence?  I propose that it is time for patriots to not only identify the leaders whom we will need in the near future, but to begin the practice of self-government by creating a shadow government to set forth policy and programs consistent with the Constitution.

This is a plea for nominations for men and women to fill all key positions in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of our Federal government.  And a plea for similar nominations for State governments.  The vast majority of officials at the State level are so blinded by the propaganda coming from Washington, DC, that they fail to even recognize that Washington is continuously intruding in areas that are the proper role of the States.

Ron Paul is an obvious candidate for President.  There are other men and women in State and Federal positions that deserve our support.  But they are few and far between.  Now is the time to start identifying leaders who will uphold the Constitution, not trample it underfoot as has been the case for the 150+ years.  Lincoln began the destruction of the democratic republic that our Revolutionary War heroes fought and died for.  It won’t be quick or easy to change such long-standing habits.  But we have to begin somewhere.  Now is the time.

The Enemy Within – Crooked Cops

Beginning in the 1960s, and continuing into the 21st century, Americans developed a healthy skepticism about police officers.  Countless incidents of crooked cops, bullies with badges, and cops too lazy to answer calls or do anything beyond arresting the first person they encountered filled the news.  As a result, the default setting for most American minds was a healthy distrust of police officers of every sort.  The bungled raid on the Branch Davidian religious center near Waco, Texas, was perhaps the high-water mark of public contempt for everyone who wears a badge.  In Waco, we saw a badly bungled raid that was clearly unnecessary escalate to the point where, despite many experienced voices recommending against an assault, 82 people were slaughtered by the police for their religious beliefs.  Among the dead were over 2 dozen children -this is especially ironic in that then U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno listed prevention of child abuse as a major reason for the Federal attack.

So we, as American citizens, grew even more skeptical about the police.  Then September 11, 2001, occurred.  Dozens of New York police officers and fire fighters died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.  Suddenly Americans developed a blind-spot with regard to police officers.  Sympathy for the officers killed in New York, and fear that without the police protecting us, we would experience many more terrorist incidents, effectively shut down criticism of the police at all levels.  But is giving the police a free pass in the post 9-11 world rational?  Not according the the daily reports of police brutality and misconduct.  Every day we are treated to ‘dash-cam’ images or cell-phone videos of out of control police officers beating unarmed and restrained citizens.  It is estimated that at most 1% of police misconduct gets reported.  Only the cops who are too dumb or too lazy to move their victims out of dash-cam range or public view before brutalizing them make it to the evening news.  Most victims of these bullies with badges are anonymous.  They are too frightened, too intimidated, or too dead to complain.

It is time for American parents to return to commonsense in what they teach their children about the cops.  The “Three-fold Nature of the Police” needs to be drilled into the heads of all of our children.  To do less is to leave them helpless in the hands of these thugs.

The first rule when confronted by a law enforcement officer is to remember the Three-fold Nature of all cops.  The nature of a cop applies across all cultures, times, and locations.  Every parent owes it to their children to drill this into them from an early age:

1.        All cops are bullies.

2.       All cops are lazy.

3.       All cops are crooks.

If ever confronted with a cop that doesn’t seem to fit this mold, just wait a little while, and everything will fall into place.  Little girls who grow up not having this Three-fold Nature of Cops drilled into their minds tend to end up being sexually assaulted in the back-seats of squad cars from an early age.  An unlucky few of them will end up married to cop spouse abusers.  Little boys who aren’t adequately taught the Three-fold Nature tend to end up being sodomized by the bullies with the badges, beaten senseless without provocation, and often behind bars for crimes that they didn’t commit – their conviction simply helped a lazy cop to clear a modestly difficult case and earn plaudits from the police agency he or she serves with.

Increasingly women are taking on police careers – which just goes to show that the more things change, the more they stay the same.  Give a woman a badge and a gun and her behavior becomes almost immediately indistinguishable from that of male officers.  Instead of a 30-something getting between our daughters’ legs in the back-seat of squad cars, lonely parks, or isolated interrogation rooms, it is a lesbian assault with night sticks serving as phalluses and demands for oral sex at the point of a gun.  With young boys the female officers know all the tricks of their male counterparts, and many a young boy has been ridiculed by a female officer who wasn’t yet satisfied by the ride.

In the post September 11th world, most Americans have adopted a knee-jerk response to the police, showering them with accolades at the drop of a hat.  Parents who fall into this trap are letting down their children badly.  Children who aren’t warned are easy marks for crooked cops.  On the other hand, children who have incorporated the Three-fold Nature of Cops with their world view are constantly on guard.  They know that an encounter with a cop is on average more dangerous than an encounter with a mugger or rapist.  During the late 20th century, most parents were confident in warning their children about the danger posed by cops.  After September 11, 2001, however, it has become politically incorrect to call cops what they really are – bullies with badges and guns, lazy sneaks that will look for the closest person to tag with blame rather than diligently trying to get at the facts, and crooks who will rob, cheat and steal, rape, and assault with impunity as they hide behind the veneer of respectability bought at the cost of a few thousand dead police and firefighters ten years ago.

So what is a parent to do?  Teach your children to fear the police.  Teach your children to avoid the police.  Teach your children to offer up nothing to the police when they are accosted by a badge-wielding bully.  Teach them to cooperate only the point of enabling rapid disengagement with the corrupt cops, before they turn really nasty.  Teach your children to remember the names, faces, and badge numbers of the cops they encounter.  So that they can provide appropriate consequences for the horrors visited on them by the lazy, sleazy, louts in uniform.  There must be consequences.  Cops go home at the end of their shift, too.  They have families that they don’t want to see hurt.  So teach your children to hit them where they live.  Teach your children to make life a living hell for every bullying, crooked, lazy no-good cop that abuses them.  No cop should ever be able to stop looking over his/her shoulder, wondering when pay-back is coming.  No cop should ever be able to send their spouse and kids out to school or shopping without wondering if they will be behind bars before they ever see them again.  In other words, every cop should have to live with the same fears that they provoke in the rest of society by their brutal, evil ways.  Only when cops fear the general public more than the general public fears the cops will society be free and open.

Prepare your children for the real world.  Prepare them for the evil in uniform that is every police officer.  Never cooperate with evil.  Never assist the bullies and crooks in brutalizing your fellow citizens.  Never vote for funding, raises, increases in force, better armaments and technology for the cops – because it will only be used against you or other citizens whose only crime is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when these demonic cops show up.  Be prepared to defend yourself against the cops – they are the real enemy in our midst.  And one day, the people will rise up and demand an end to the police corruption and brutality that is endemic in every police agency around the world.

Another Unconstitutional War

Today, the Obama Administration has shredded the U. S. Constitution yet again, by going to war against Libya.  Regardless of the merits of intervention, and they are debatable, the Executive Branch has no constitutional authority to go to war absent a declaration of war by the United States Congress.  Just as Lincoln started the 19th century American Holocaust, which left 3 million dead, without any constitutional authority, so Obama, another Son of Illinois, has launched us into yet another war.  What ought members of our armed forces do when they are confronted with orders to engage in an unconstitutional war?  Should they disobey those orders and point to the higher authority of  the United States Constitution as their defense?  Nazi soldiers who acted illegally in World War II tried to defend their actions by stating that they were just following orders.  The world rejected that defense.  What is the difference when our own military acts illegally by following orders to engage in an unconstitutional war?

Leaving Libya for the moment, what do we do next?  When do the air strikes begin against Yemen and Bahrain?  How about Saudi Arabia?  We already are engaged in a covert war in Mexico.  Will the tanks from Fort Hood be rolling across the international bridges in El Paso next?  How about an assault on Venezuela?  This is far more than a slippery slope.  This is utter madness.  What exactly is the Obama Doctrine?  Earlier this week, and for the past several weeks, President Obama rejected military involvement in Libya.  Now he has flipped his position.  When the Commander in Chief shows contempt for the Consititution by his actions, do the people owe him any further allegiance, regardless of whether they are in uniform?  Our blood, treasure, and honor are at stake here.  Surely the Arab League nations with their coffers overflowing with oil money could have done this, if it is really something of which they approve.

Has the time arrived for another American Revolution?  How else will we regain constitutional control of our government and the war profiteers that now are calling the shots?  Non-violent resistance to every Federal action may be the logical next step.  If we are ever to become what was promised in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution, at some point American citizens will be required to act – act to throw out the guardians of political correctness, the lobbyists that run the show, and the illegal immigrants that are destroying our communities and way of life.  If we can afford another war in Libya, we can afford to secure our own borders.  And eject everyone here illegally.

What is your take on this latest scandal of Federal over-reaching?

A Pox on All Their Houses

The Democrat Party – Too liberal, too confused, too worn-out

The Republican Party – Too pro-big government, too pro-big corporations, too anti-personal freedoms

The Libertarian Party – Too God-less, too unrealistic, too late

So what is a true patriot to do?  Start by considering what will come after.  After the fall of the American Empire, and after the collapse of the world economy based on artificial monetary systems and unrestrained greed.  For the 50 States and several territories that are presently subject to the oppressive control of the illegally constituted Federal government of the United States of America, it makes sense to be thinking about what sort of alliances and allegiances are most likely to provide a workable framework for the future.  Hence, the Jeffersonian Party forum for ideas for a new America.  We start with the the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution, and we throw out the intrinsically illegal Amendments passed during and at the end of the Reconstruction Period that followed the Second War for Independence, which ended in 1865.  Power to the people and to the States – repudiation of all the accretions of a power-mad Federal government that has ruled with out real checks and balances for nearly a century and a half – this is our starting point.  We do not advocate anything subversive or illegal, rather we encourage a restoration of the democratic republic that the Founding Fathers envisioned at the end of the 18th Century.  We propose a provisional shadow government that will provide space for debating and testing the constitutional structures that will best serve the interests of the people.  Let the conversation begin.
